We usually respond within two weeks
At No Isolation, your work has real purpose. We’re on a mission to bring learning and belonging to every child, and we need a creative, skilled and impact-driven designer who wants to play a key role in making our digital tools more intuitive, inclusive and effective. You’ll join an international, multidisciplinary team working towards one shared goal: building technology that truly makes a difference.
⭐️ Your role and impact.
At the core of our solution is AV1, a telepresence robot that helps children with long-term illness stay connected to their education and classmates. In this role, you’ll focus on the digital tools that support and enable that experience, ensuring they’re intuitive, inclusive, and easy to use for everyone involved. With your sharp eye and hands-on mindset, you’ll help us move fast with the right quality, iterating early and often, and always staying open to feedback. You’ll also contribute to our growing design system and ensure we maintain a consistent visual language across platforms.
🛠 What you'll be designing.
- User flows, wireframes and UI assets in Figma for our web and mobile tools (iOS/Android)
- Consistent, production-ready design specs that are feasible to implement
- Visual improvements across our products, from layout and spacing to typography and interaction
- Accessible and inclusive interfaces that work for all our users
- Design improvements based on feedback, usability testing, and discovery work
- Contributions to our visual standards, design critique, and internal processes
- Small design contributions to our website and AV1 Academy, when needed
🎯 Who are we looking for?
You’re a hands-on designer who’s comfortable taking ownership, and who understands that impactful design comes from testing ideas early, listening closely, and iterating with purpose. You value functional, outcome-focused design, and you thrive when collaborating across disciplines.
Your skill set includes…
- Strong proficiency in Figma (our primary tool)
- Solid visual design skills: layout, spacing, typography, and UI clarity
- Good understanding of mobile and web interaction patterns
- Ability to visualise data in a clear and insightful way
- Experience with design systems and component-based thinking
- Confident communicating and writing in English, including editing UI copy and microtext
- Ability to clearly communicate design rationale to different stakeholders
- Sensitivity to accessibility and inclusive design
We’re looking for someone who probably has worked as a UX or Product Designer for 3-5 years, and who's looking for a role where your work can make a real difference.
🚀 What will make you stand out?
- A collaborative mindset and experience working closely with cross-functional teams
- Curiosity, reflection, and a willingness to learn from others
- You believe in an iterative design approach, sharing early work for feedback often
- A sense of when to polish and when to move fast - and the confidence to do both
- If you happen to have a keen eye for turning data into impactful visualisations, that’s a bonus we truly value
- Also, you align with No Isolation’s guiding principles: responsibility, continuous learning, ownership, and impact
What’s in it for YOU?
🌍 Impactful work. Your designs will help ensure that every child, regardless of their health or circumstances, can stay connected to their education and peers.
🎨 Autonomy and trust. You’ll own your design from conception to outcome.
📈 Growth and development. We’re scaling fast and there’s plenty of room to grow; into new skills, responsibilities, or directions.
🤝 Inspiring teammates. You’ll work with passionate, skilled people who care deeply about what they do.
💻 Flexible setup. Core hours are 10–15, with a hybrid work model that allows you to split time between the office and home.
🌱 Wellness support. We offer therapy sessions, mobile/internet reimbursements, wellness hours, and PJ days.
